The Atman Table Lamp takes its name from the Sanskrit word for “soul” — a nod to the holy oval stones its designer encountered on a trip to India, recreated here in clear crystal glass over a chrome base. It's less a light fixture than a small sculptural object that happens to glow.
A chip-on-board LED integrated into the base throws a warm, contained glow through the glass rather than out into the room, so the Atman reads as ambient bedside or shelf lighting rather than a primary light source. All three light colors — warm, blue-purple, and sunset red — are built into every unit, cycled with the same inline push-button switch used to turn it on, so there's nothing to pick at checkout; just choose your plug type.
Because the COB LED runs hotter than a standard bulb, expect the lamp body itself to warm to 104–122°F during use — normal for this light source, and part of why the lamp ships with a full 59.1-inch cord and inline switch rather than requiring a nearby outlet directly beneath it.

An Object With a Story
'Atman' is Sanskrit for soul — a name chosen after its designer encountered holy oval stones on a trip to India and set out to recreate their quiet, weighted form in glass.
Warm, Blue-Purple, or Sunset Red
The same crystal form is offered as three separate variants — warm, blue-purple, and sunset red — so you pick the exact mood you want before it ever reaches your shelf, rather than switching colors on one unit.
Why the Lamp Runs Warm
An integrated COB LED chip is more efficient than it is cool — expect the lamp body to warm noticeably during use. It's a known characteristic of this light source, not a fault.
