The Short-Velvet Persian Retro Dining Rug is finished in a low, short-pile velvet — a deliberate choice that keeps it practical exactly where it belongs: under a dining table, where chair legs slide in and out, and at an entrance, where foot traffic never stops.

That low pile is also recoverable: even after being vacuum-compressed for shipping, it springs back to its original loft rather than staying flattened. The printed pattern holds its color and definition clearly, and the non-slip backing keeps it anchored underfoot.

It's lightweight and machine washable — cold water, hand wash or machine wash, then wring gently and air dry naturally. It packs down folded or rolled for easy storage.

Casa Norex Rugs

A Low, Short-Pile Velvet Rug Built for Dining Rooms and Entrances

Recoverable short-velvet pile with a non-slip backing — available in 14 sizes from doormat to room-filling.

Care Instructions

Clean with cold water, by hand or machine wash. Wring gently and allow to air dry naturally.

The Essentials

What makes it, in a few parts.

Low-Profile Pile

A short velvet weave that stays practical under a dining table and resists snagging from chair legs.

Non-Slip Backing

A grip-backed base keeps the rug anchored, even at a busy entrance.

Recoverable Weave

Springs back to its original loft even after vacuum-compressed shipping.

The Material

Low Enough for a Dining Table, Tough Enough for an Entrance

The short velvet pile keeps this rug low-profile enough to sit comfortably beneath a dining table, while its recoverable weave springs back to shape even after being vacuum-compressed for shipping — so what arrives at your door looks the way it did when it left the workshop.

Low-Profile, High Traffic

The short velvet pile stays out of the way of chair legs and daily foot traffic, while the printed pattern holds its color and definition clearly underfoot.
