A separate drinking-water tap works fine right up until the two waterways aren't actually separate — a poorly built 3-way faucet can let filtered and unfiltered water mix internally, which defeats the entire point of installing a filter in the first place. The Meridian is built around a genuinely separate outlet for filtered water, so hot, cold, and RO-filtered water each stay in their own path from the valve to the spout.
That dedicated waterway connects to any standard reverse-osmosis system through the included 3/8" adapter, so hooking it up to a filter you already have — or plan to install — is a straightforward one-time connection, not a custom plumbing job. And to be upfront about it: the filtration system itself is sold separately — the Meridian is the faucet and the third waterway, built to connect to your RO setup rather than include one.
A 360° swivel, high-arc spout handles the everyday reach — filling stockpots, working across a double basin, clearing space for oversized cookware without repositioning anything underneath it.
The body comes in solid brass or an upgraded copper finish, and copper's naturally antimicrobial surface is worth knowing about if that's part of why you're upgrading in the first place. Between Chrome, Black, and White color options and the brass-or-copper finish choice, there's a combination that matches most kitchens rather than forcing a single look.
It installs as a standard single-hole, deck-mounted faucet and runs at a minimum working pressure of just 0.05 MPa, so it isn't picky about the plumbing it's dropped into.
