The body is food-grade 304 stainless steel with a genuinely lead-free waterway — not a lead-free label on a brass-and-solder assembly, but stainless steel through the path the water actually travels. A ceramic disc cartridge handles the hot/cold mixing with the same smooth, precise action found in commercial-grade fixtures, and a Neoperl aerator — the same aerator brand used across premium plumbing fixtures — keeps the flow consistent instead of sputtering.
One clarification worth making upfront: the Ashland is filter-ready, not filter-included. It's built to connect to a standard reverse-osmosis or under-sink filtration system through a 3/8" adapter, so if you already have a filter system installed, or plan to add one, this faucet is the fixture that puts its output at your fingertips — no separate drinking-water tap taking up space next to it.
Day to day, the pull-out spray head and 360° rotating gooseneck mean the whole sink — corners included — stays within reach, and food-grade PEX supply hoses handle the connection to your existing lines without introducing anything questionable into the water they carry.
